– Khalil Gibran
I opened Pandora's box and infertility entered my life.
Khalil Gibran, one of my most favorite poets. He has a beautiful poem called “On Children” that we have used on our adoption website. Thanks for sharing this wonderful quote!
He’s one of my favourites too. Him and Rumi. My fav Rumi piece is:
A strange passion is moving in my head. My heart has become a bird which searches in the sky. Every part of me goes in different directions. Is it really so that the one I love is everywhere?
I think my friend recited “On Children” at her daughters christening. It was very beautiful. We read “On Marriage” at our wedding, so I always love referring back to Khalil.

Oh, what a power is motherhood, possessing
A potent spell. All women alike
Fight fiercely for a child.
~ Euripides, Iphigenia in Aulis, c. 405 B.C.
