Posts & quotes that have stuck #infertility

Just some stuff I’d like to share because I like! First one isn’t IF related but a pretty good read on the Time Magazine Cover.

1. Are You Mom Enough Time Magazine Cover

I don’t use the twins’ image because I don’t know how they’ll feel about their image being used, and they’re not at an age where I can ask and receive a thoughtful answer.  They may be totally fine with it, or they may be upset to read what someone writes about their image.  And without knowing, I don’t feel comfortable proceeding.

2. Confessions of being left behind

So c’mon babies, grow and thrive and let your mamas know you are there with full on nausea, heartburn, kicks and then a loud cry from the moment you are born.

3. This woman’s work

I stopped working not to raise a child but to make a child.
To keep a child.
I stopped working because baby steps are the most precarious.

5. USS Uterus

Is it me, or does the female reproductive tract remind you of the Starship Enterprise?

6. Infertility and how we keep ourselves stuck: When something is lost, do you let it go?

You see every closing is in actuality an opening. Every ending is really a beginning. And every defeat is nothing more than a reset on the time clock for a new game.

8. Getting excited and smiling

It’s all about how you choose to look at stuff. And I for one would like to have a wonderful life, preferably with another child in it, but if not….then I still deserve to smile.

A potent spell. All women alike
Fight fiercely for a child.
