Foods – acid or alkaline? The list.

This list was given to me a homeopath/nutritionist. Not everyone believes in an alkaline diet but it’s been helping me. The aim is to keep a 70% (alkaline)/30% (acid) balance.

A more alkaline diet is said help our entire reproductive systems and create the right pH environment for conception and implantation.

Acidic foods produce acidic environments. Acidic cervical mucus may become hostile to sperm, which requires an alkaline environment to survive. – Randine, Lewis, The Infertility Cure

The following is a list of common foods with an approximate, relative potential of acidity (-) or alkalinity (+), as present in one ounce of food. I don’t obsess but this does help me choose more alkalizing foods especially if I’m taking in more acidic food (such as fruit). Everyone is different so it’s best to do what keeps your body and mind happy. I still sneak in dark chocolate, hot chocolate and the odd random cup of tea – they keep me happy!

A potent spell. All women alike
Fight fiercely for a child.
