Lovely. Just what I need on a Monday morning. It could be a combination of things – the Aviva Method might have triggered it, physical stress (tango classes work that area too.. all that walking backwards), lack of acupuncture (she’s on holiday)… or I could have a polyp.
Now sitting here stressing over managing my workload today and fitting in the Dr. He probably won’t even be able to do anything but I still have to report it.
What annoys me most is that I’m not sure whether this is considered the 1st day of a new cycle. It feels like period bleeding and it’s heavier than my usual scant periods. I need to work this out because the timing of my HSG depends on it.
Oh. The. Stress.
Banging head.
Repeat after me “I love my ovaries, I love my ovaries, I love my ovaries…”
I’m sorry you’re facing yet more uncertainty. I have had irregular bleeding before cycles the last two months, and it’s doing my head in because this comes *after* a polyp I had removed in the hopes that it would even things out for me. Sorry I don’t have any words of wisdom, only support! I do hope that your body decides to cooperate so that the HSG can go ahead – getting those tests will not only help your care providers plan for you, but also hopefully give you peace of mind. Sending you strength and peace.
Do you think maybe your body is still adjusting? I’m sorry that you had to go through it 😦
I just read that most polyps occur in women over 20 who have had several pregnancies – oh the irony!
I have no idea at this point! Luckily, I have an appointment at the IF clinic next week, and will certainly be hoping to get to the bottom of this hoopla. Well, I’m over 20, and several pregnancies, yes…just no living baby yet 😦
I hope you get some answers on your situation too. Having all these investigations is the first step!
Hey, I’m sorry about the stress. I had to remove a polyp before starting my first IVF, but I never had any mid-cycle bleeding from it, didn’t notice any signs at all it was there until I had a scan and it was discovered. Glad you are on your way to hopefully get some answers. But it is a stressful time. Take care of yourself.
If it feels different, it probably is different. It’s taken me years to understand the difference between my periods and mid cycles bleeds. For me, the only way I can tell is the sore boobs & cramps. My mid cycle bleeding can last up to 10 days & can be very heavy, but it’s never accompanied by cramps & sore boobs. X
Would you count it as a fresh cycle? That’s how I’m feeling – just blood – no pain or sore boobs. It’s confusing.
10 days is a long time! Dr said if it goes over 7 days I have to go back to him.
I don’t anymore, but I used to. I bled for over a week in the run up to this cycle but I counted day 1 as the first day that I took painkillers all day!
